Ann Chen, 29, is a dual-licensed attorney in the U.S. and Taiwan. Under the theme of “Pave Your Way to Success with Fun,” she shared secrets to a happy life. Shortly after graduating from National Taiwan University with a major in law, she passed the Bar Examination in Taiwan. Afterwards, she furthered her study of law at UC Berkeley. Although studying law in an English-speaking environment was quite a challenge for her, she was able to overcome the difficulty and obtained the degree of Master of Laws within a year, which is normally a three-year program. After spending four months preparing for the California Bar Examination, she passed it on her first try. (The average passing rates for international students is only 10%.) Ann shared that her secret to living a happier and more fulfilling life is the ability to treat challenges as a fun game, to find the meaning of life, and to improve her self-worth. “Since the age of 7, I have been learning the wisdom of yin and yang at Tai Ji Men, which helps me maintain the balance of the body and the heart and do things more efficiently and effectively,” said Ann. Additionally, following Dr. Hong’s example and teachings, she has learned to care more about the world and to do more volunteer work. She has attended several UN conferences and the International Conference of Chief Justices of the World and has visited many countries, conducting cultural exchanges to share excellent Chinese culture. That has made her life very rewarding and purposeful!

Hon. Aung Soe Win, Consul General of Myanmar in Los Angeles, stated that he could tell that people who practice Tai Ji Men Qigong have improved themselves and become more energetic, freer, and happier. Dr. Tony Torng, board member of the Walnut Valley Unified School District, said, “As a school board member, I really enjoy watching the younger kids perform. They did a great job, very energetic.”
