In the summer of 2022, I experienced vision problems that led to the discovery of a 50mm tumor in my pituitary gland, which was pressing on my optic nerves. The diagnosis was alarming, but I drew strength from my qigong practice. In 2023, I underwent a minimally invasive surgery, allowing me to leave the hospital just one day later. Post-surgery, I faced severe dizziness that at times almost required emergency care. However, by using Tai Ji Men Qigong techniques to calm my breathing and stabilize my condition, I was able to avoid further medical intervention. Throughout my recovery, I received unwavering support from our Tai Ji Men family, particularly from my Shifu, Dr. Hong, Tao-Tze, the leader of Tai Ji Men. His guidance and encouragement played a crucial role. My daily practice of Tai Ji Men Qigong and communicating with my heart allowed me to recover quickly.
