500 Energy Boys and Energy Girls to safeguard the planet with love and energy

Global warming has caused abnormal climate patterns, widespread disasters and casualties such as earthquakes, floods, fires and cyclones. The disrupted food production and escalating oil prices have sparked global inflationary concerns. According to a UN investigative report, the number of natural catastrophes between 2000 and 2006 are four times the numbers recorded in the 1970s. US scientists predict that the ice sheets in the North Pole may melt away in the coming September. Many evidences are showing that we have to deal with the global environmental degradation jointly and finding solutions to the environmental threat should be the highest priority task for mankind.
In light of the threats facing humanity, the "Global Commitment to Safeguarding the Planet" - the 2008 Concert of Thanksgiving and Gratitude will be initiated by Dr. Hong, Tao-Tze, Zhang-men-ren of Tai Ji Men, who has dedicated himself over the years to the international public welfare activities of promoting love and peace. The Concert will begin at 2:00pm local time on July 13 in Taiwan, Los Angels and San Jose. More than 100 governmental and civil organizations will be invited to spend a minute in silent meditation at 3pm sharp to pray for peace on behalf of the deceased victims of recent catastrophes, solace for the injured survivors and blessings for the living. All participants will make three wishes collectively. One for world peace and prosperity, one for everyone to protect the earth, and the third for conservation of food and gratitude for what we have.
The concert aims to consolidate the good intentions and positive thoughts from heads of state, world leaders and good-hearted people to deliver the positive energies of loving the earth for oneself, one’s country and the world so as to stabilize the magnetic fields of the planet to create a better world for the benefit of all citizens of the global village. In ancient China, Zhougong’s Rank System of ceremony and music used in the Court contributed to help cultivate one’s spirit. The therapeutic effects of music in modern time have been tested in psychological healing. The power of music reaches beyond the barriers of language and nationalities. Important guests attending the Concert include NGOs and peace organizations from Japan, France and Russia. Tai Ji Men dizi will sing the melody of heaven with sincerity and deep love to heal the earth with music and singing and to urge people to be grateful and take actions to protect the planet.
The famous Japanese model and singer Miki Sawamura will perform in the Concert. French love songs and Russian folk songs will be performed as well. Whether the performances will be in Chinese style, western style, Rap or rock and roll, whether the songs will be in Mandarin, Taiwanese, aboriginal languages, Japanese, French, or Russian, all the performances have one specific goal: to safeguard the planet and to turn around the deteriorating environment.
The intention to safeguard the planet comes from different age groups and nationalities. In addition to the groups from around the world, a formation of 500 Energy Boys and Energy Girls composed of teenagers from Tai Ji Men ages 3 to 28, including little boys and girls from 3 to 10, and teenagers from elementary school to graduate school, is the most spectacular. They wear shinning orange jackets and blue jeans that symbolize hope and energy and use lively Rap and powerful dance to share the energies of love, peace and happiness.
Jie-An Chen, one of the 500 Energy Boys and Energy Girls, was admitted into the Law School at National Taiwan University last year and received the President’s Award. She also attended the 60th NGO Conference in New York in 2007, representing the Federation of World Peace and Love (FOWPAL). Another teenager, Xin-Ying Lee, grew up in Tai Ji Men and without attending any cram school, was accepted into Jianguo High School with the highest score in his junior high school class after being elected class leader 18 times. Jin-Ping Chen used to do poorly in tests. But after practicing Tai Ji Men Qigong, he recovered from the pain of losing his father and learned the methods and techniques of study. He eventually got into the Biomedical Engineering Department in National Cheng Kung University and now is a graduate student. Le-Zhen Sun, the daughter of Yuan-Xun Sun, the Dean of the Institute of Wildlife Conservation in National Pingtung University of Science and Technology, was lovely and energetic but undisciplined. But after practicing Tai Ji Men Qigong, she started to learn to calm down and study hard. She now achieves academic excellence. A suspected learning disabled child, Huan-Yi Lu, was admitted into the Mechanical Engineering Department in National Taiwan University after learning the right way of study from practicing Tai Ji Men Qigong. All of the Energy Boys and Energy Girls teenagers have interesting stories. They sincerely hope that everyone will safeguard the planet with genuine hearts so that we all can have a beautiful future.
