50th Anniversary: A Significant Milestone

U.S. visionaries and organizations present Tai Ji Men Qigong

2016 is a very special year for Tai Ji Men Qigong Academy; its Chinese New Year Gathering was composed of a series of celebrations which received warm congratulations and kind wishes from around the world. The event was held in ten places in Asia and America, attended by guests from various nations. During the "Chinese New Year Gathering" at Rowland Heights Community Center in Los Angeles County, California, a special ceremony of ringing the "Bell of World Peace and Love" was held, and U.S. Congressman Ed Royce, Chairman of House Committee on Foreign Affairs, rang the bell to pray for California, the U.S., and the world. Kicked off on Feb. 21, 2016, the festive celebrations lasted for nearly a month, and congratulatory notes for the event were also received from many world leaders, including His Holiness Pope Francis; the Queen and Prime Minister of the United Kingdom; Prime Minister of Ireland; King of Thailand; Prince Albert II of Monaco; President of Israel; Prime Minister of Denmark; Prime Minister of Spain; Prime Minister of Singapore; Charles, Prince of Wales; Governor-General of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines; President of the Philippines; President and Prime Minister of Pakistan; Prime Minister of Sri Lanka; Prime Minister of Madagascar; Governor-General of Jamaica; former President of Croatia; UN ambassadors; government officials and congress members from various nations.

Over the years, Tai Ji Men's shifu (master) and dizi (similar to students) have contributed time and money to every populated continent, spreading the ideas of love and peace and promoting qigong and martial arts, deeply rooted in traditional Chinese culture. They have been recognized as "International Ambassadors of Peace and Goodwill." Tai Ji Men Qigong Academy will soon host a grand celebration for its 50th anniversary. U.S. visionaries and organizations have presented Tai Ji Men with certificates of appreciation, saying that the 50th anniversary of Tai Ji Men Qigong Academy is a significant milestone worth celebrating as it has been dedicated to preserving the essence of Chinese culture and improving the physical, mental, and spiritual health of the people of the world. They also praised Tai Ji Men for setting a great example for all and are appreciative of Tai Ji Men's great contribution to the American society.

U.S. Congressman Ed Royce presented a certificate of recognition to Tai Ji Men to acknowledge its contribution to carrying forward valuable cultural traditions as well as its remarkable achievements in serving the American society. California State Senator Bob Huff presented certificates in celebration of the 50th anniversary of Tai Ji Men Qigong Academy and in recognition of its continuous efforts to inspire people to become great leaders and promote goodwill in the community. California State Assembly Member Young Kim sent a certificate to Tai Ji Men in recognition of its promotion of friendships and culture. The City Council of Alhambra, California also conveyed its best wishes to Tai Ji Men Qigong Academy for the 50th anniversary. Through the jubilant celebrations, Tai Ji Men dizi shared their remarkable achievements in promoting love and peace as well as the essence of Chinese culture across the planet to improve global health.

In recent years, Tai Ji Men dizi have held a variety of events and activities in the U.S. to promote the movement of An Era of Conscience and received enthusiastic responses. In June 2015, they started a wave of conscience that swept across California. Over 300 people including Hollywood celebrities and leaders in all circles attended "The Awakening of Conscience: World Citizens Supporting Love and Peace" on June 6, 2015. The World Film Institute especially presented a humanitarian award to Dr. Hong, Tao-Tze, Zhang-men-ren (grandmaster) of Tai Ji Men, in recognition of Dr. Hong's lifelong contribution to world peace and love as well as his initiating and promoting the meaningful global movement of An Era of Conscience, which aims to awaken the conscience in the world's people and encourage them to work together for global peace and unity. On the hot summer days, Tai Ji Men dizi from different corners of the earth worked as volunteers for An Era of Conscience, contributing time and money to present a series of performances in California from June 4-14, 2015 to awaken the conscience in people's hearts, and they received many warm responses and praises. The representative of Disneyland presented a Performing Arts Award to Tai Ji Men in recognition of its contribution to arts. Lenore Gonzales, recreation supervisor of the center and the City of Azusa, especially presented a certificate of recognition to Dr. Hong in recognition of his promotion of love, peace, and the meaningful movement of An Era of Conscience across the planet. Wisdom Culture & Education Organization presented a certificate of appreciation to Tai Ji Men for presenting cultural performances and promoting the importance of conscience and Chinese culture to young Americans and Chinese Americans.

To date, people in 196 nations have participated in the movement of An Era of Conscience, and the movement has received a lot of praise and affirmation in America. On Feb. 21, 2016, Mayor Pro Tem Mary Su and Councilmembers Eric Ching and Nancy Tragarz of the City of Walnut jointly presented a certificate of appreciation to Dr. Hong for Tai Ji Men's promotion of love and peace as well as its spreading of positive energy over the years. On March 15, 2016, during a City Council meeting, Mayor Barry Chang of Cupertino presented a certificate to Tai Ji Men in recognition of its contribution to the community and in appreciation to Dr. Hong for initiating the inspiring global movement of An Era of Conscience and carrying forward Chinese culture. The City Council and staff also joined the movement on the day.

Yin, founder of Asian Pacific Islander American Public Affairs (APAPA), expressed his best wishes to Tai Ji Men, saying that he is very honored to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Tai Ji Men Qigong Academy, a significant milestone. He believes this is a great time for all to know Tai Ji Men's core value-to promote the essence of Chinese culture and improve the physical, mental, and spiritual health of mankind. He says that Tai Ji Men has set an excellent example for all and sincerely praises its great contribution to America. Love is the drive that motivates us to enrich our lives; conscience is the foundation of human well-being. The grand celebration of the 50th anniversary of Tai Ji Men Qigong Academy will be a highly anticipated cultural feast that promises to bring tons of positive energy of truth, goodness, and beauty to all participants.
