The Deputy Mayor of Meteora, Greece, endorses

"The Declaration of World Day of the Power of Hope"

The Federation of World Peace and Love (FOWPAL), which has visited five continents to spread the concepts of love, peace, and conscience, visited Greece in early July. On the 3rd, they arrived at Meteora City Hall, where they were welcomed by the Deputy Mayor of Culture and Education and the Deputy Mayor of Tourism and Sports. The mayor's representative facilitated the meeting, and the Deputy Mayor of Culture and Education endorsed "The Declaration of World Day of the Power of Hope," aiming to inject positive energy into today's turbulent world.

The Deputy Mayor of Culture and Education, Madame Evagellia Bandeka-Nani, expressed that it was through this event that she became acquainted with the Federation of World Peace and Love (FOWPAL) for the first time. She was very excited about the organization's initiatives and regarded Dr. Hong as a person with an open mind and a positive disposition, believing that such qualities can contribute to meaningful change in today's challenging world. The Deputy Mayor of Tourism and Sports, Pineopi Magkoura, remarked that Dr. Hong is an extraordinary individual, highlighting the importance of his work on a global scale.

Dr. Hong presented souvenirs and the "Compass Clock of Conscience" to the two deputy mayors. The "Compass Clock of Conscience" symbolizes time, direction, and goals, guiding individuals along the bright path of life while reminding them to seize opportunities and practice conscience and good deeds. After the meeting, volunteers from the Federation of World Peace and Love (FOWPAL) conveyed love and blessings as they sang "We Are One World" outside the city hall. The deputy mayor came out to take photos with the volunteers to express her support and encouragement. One volunteer shared his happiness at receiving such positive feedback for his kind thoughts and expressed hope that world leaders would embody kindness and positivity, so that there will be no war in the world.

Meteora is a renowned scenic spot in Greece, located about 350 kilometers from the capital, Athens. The name "Meteora" means "suspended in the air" in Greek. Its unique geological landscape and well-preserved monastery complex are recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Visitors are often captivated by the towering sandstone columns and the monasteries perched atop these massive rocks.

The volunteers of the Federation of World Peace and Love (FOWPAL) visited St. Stephen's Monastery and Wanlan Monastery that day. These monasteries were built by monks in the early days, constructed in a challenging terrain without direct roads, requiring even cable cars for transporting supplies. The volunteers noted that these spectacular monasteries reflect the monks' devotion to their faith through physical asceticism and their spirit of perseverance in the face of difficulties—values similar to those embodied by FOWPAL in its journey to 104 countries to convey love and peace.
