The president of the Taiwanese Cultural and Sports Association of Northern California, Chih-Yang Chang, addressed the event, expressing hope that through the Kid’s Fun Festival, Taiwan’s soft power in citizen diplomacy could be promoted, enhancing interactions between people and fostering better family relationships. He also mentioned that the festival provides an opportunity for the younger generation of immigrants to understand the traditional games their elders played in their childhood. According to the organizers, this year’s event featured a marketplace spread across 130 booths in areas such as the International Village, Traditional Games Zone, and Food Court, offering a rich and diverse array of activities. There were also stage performances for the public to enjoy.
Tai Ji Men Qigong Academy actively engages with the community, dedicated to giving back the goodness they have learned to the world, hoping that everyone can enjoy a life of health, wealth, wisdom, joy and happiness. Distinguished guests such as Director-General Ming-Chi Lai of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in San Francisco, Taiwanese Cultural and Sports Association President Chih-Yang Chang, and Director Ya-Shu Chuang of the Cultural Center of TECO in San Francisco attended the Tai Ji Men booth to encourage the disciples. At the booth, “Spin the Wheel” game was set up, where participants could receive exquisite small gifts by completing parent-child interaction tasks on the spinning wheel, naturally enhancing the parent-child relationship and spreading the energy of love.
Linda, a Tai Ji Men disciple from Taiwan, shared that she joined Tai Ji Men on her family’s recommendation to improve her family life. By starting with changing herself, she found that when she is happy, her family is happy too. On this trip to the U.S., she participated in the International Kid’s Fun Festival with her daughter, grandson, and granddaughter, interacting with the public and sharing the secrets of happiness. Tai Ji Men will host a Mid-Autumn Festival event on September 7th at its Santa Clara Academy, and the public in the Bay Area is warmly invited to attend.
