Tai Ji Men Santa Clara Celebrates 2nd Anniversary with Joy and Positive Energy

Event highlights Qigong’s health benefits, inspiring stories, and the Divine Dragon of Triumph.

On October 12, 2025, the Tai Ji Men Qigong Academy in Santa Clara celebrated its 2nd anniversary with an uplifting event themed “Happy Qi, Happy Life – The Way to a Joyful Life.” The celebration radiated positive energy and harmony, inspiring nearly a hundred guests to embrace health, happiness, and inner balance. The event was also livestreamed on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/live/IFBgIP0h1TA), allowing participants from around the world to share in the joy online.

Distinguished guests and officials from across the Bay Area attended the celebration to honor Tai Ji Men’s long-standing contributions to community wellness and intercultural harmony. Honored guests included Elizabeth Vacca, representative of California State Senator Aisha Wahab; Milpitas Mayor Carmen Montano; Santa Clara City Councilmember Kevin Park; Palo Alto City Councilmember Patrick Burt; Fremont City Councilmembers Raymond Liu and Yang Shao; and Katherine Tseng, Vice President of the Los Gatos–Saratoga Union High School District Board.
In addition, U.S. Congressman Ro Khanna, California State Senators Aisha Wahab, Patrick Ahrens, Dave Cortese, and Alex Lee, along with Milpitas Mayor Carmen Montano and the San José City Government, presented certificates and video messages of recognition. They commended Tai Ji Men for its enduring dedication to promoting physical, mental, and spiritual well-being, and for fostering a positive and compassionate community.

California Assemblymember Patrick Ahrens, in his certificate of recognition, wrote: “Your unwavering commitment to fostering a new community for people of all ages and backgrounds is admirable. Your efforts have resulted in countless moments of inspiration and transformation for your community.”
Tai Ji Men disciple Andrew Chang delivered the welcome remarks on behalf of Dr. Hong, Tao-Tze, the Zhang-men-ren of Tai Ji Men. He shared that since its opening in 2023, the Santa Clara Academy has had over a hundred friends and family members join Tai Ji Men. Through practicing Qigong, they have regained balance in body and mind, quickly enhanced their energy, and learned to face daily pressures and challenges with joy. Through Qigong cultivation, Tai Ji Men dizi strengthen their bodies and nurture their hearts and minds, developing health, happiness, energy, and wisdom. In addition to maintaining a calm and steady mind to adapt to an ever-changing environment, they also gain abundant energy to help others.

Several city officials expressed their appreciation for Tai Ji Men’s positive influence in the community. Milpitas Mayor Carmen Montano praised Tai Ji Men’s philosophy of cultivating the mind, body, and spirit, describing the three elements as a “triangle of perfection” that brings harmony and unity to one’s whole being.
Santa Clara City Councilmember Kevin Park emphasized that Tai Ji Men events consistently “promote love, joy, happiness, and peace” for everyone who takes part.
Palo Alto City Councilmember and former Mayor Patrick Burt, attending the event for the third time, shared that it “is always very positive.” He added, “It's so important today for everyone to be as positive as possible and to think about helping each other.”
Fremont Councilmember Yang Shao expressed his wish for Tai Ji Men to open a branch in Fremont “so that people in our city will be even happier.”
Twelve Tai Ji Men disciples from different age groups join hands to present a heartwarming and touching sign language performance.
Fremont Councilmember Raymond Liu shared how Qigong has personally helped him relieve stress, saying, “In public office, there are times when you just need to take a deep breath, relax, and move forward. I wish everyone the happiness, peace, and tranquility that Qigong brings.”
Education leader Katherine Tseng shared that every visit to Tai Ji Men fills her with joy and positive energy. She emphasized the importance of “maintaining joy in the process of learning” and said it was a blessing for younger generations to grow up in such a positive environment.
Tai Ji Men disciples also shared heartfelt stories of personal growth and transformation. Bay Area engineer Kyle Tsai spoke of finding greater strength, calmness, and family harmony through Qigong practice. Liling, a Silicon Valley engineer, shared how she recovered from post-COVID symptoms such as brain fog and poor circulation through consistent practice. Grace, a former pharmacist, overcame insomnia and anxiety after joining Tai Ji Men, learning to slow down, stay present, and live a healthier, happier life.
The magnificent “Divine Dragon of Triumph,” meticulously handcrafted by Tai Ji Men dizi, embodies compassion, courage, and true wisdom, symbolizing the harmony between technology and humanity.
Cultural performances added warmth and inspiration to the celebration. Twelve Tai Ji Men dizi of all ages presented a touching sign language performance of the “Love and Peace Song,” sharing heartfelt messages of kindness and unity. Their graceful movements and radiant smiles deeply moved the audience, filling the room with an atmosphere of love and peace.
The event also featured the magnificent “Divine Dragon of Triumph.” Every part of the dragon—from its head and body to the tail and each individual scale—was meticulously handcrafted by Tai Ji Men dizi, stitch by stitch. Symbolizing compassion, courage, and true wisdom, the dragon represents the harmony between technology and humanity. The word “triumph” represents the spirit of overcoming challenges and returning with honor. Through this symbolism, the Divine Dragon of Triumph inspires all to face life’s trials with courage and to live with joy and fulfillment.
As the Santa Clara Academy celebrates its 2nd anniversary, Tai Ji Men continues to inspire individuals and families to cultivate good health, inner peace, and global harmony. Through its teachings and community engagement, Tai Ji Men’s positive energy continues to brighten the Bay Area and beyond—guiding people toward a joyful life filled with love and balance.
Kyle, a Bay Area software engineer for over 20 years, experienced improved physical and mental well-being after joining Tai Ji Men. Through Qigong practice and meaningful connections with fellow dizi (disciples), he also saw positive changes within his family.
