Pasadena, CA – Tai Ji Men Qigong Academy in Pasadena is excited to host a special event celebrating the International Month of Love and Peace (September), the Moon Festival, and the first anniversary of its Pasadena academy. This joyous occasion will take place on September 15, 2024, from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at its academy located at 570 E. Orange Grove Blvd., Pasadena, CA.

Community leaders, including California State Treasurer Fiona Ma’s Representative Jorge Herrera, LA County Supervisor Kathryn Barger’s Representative Jimmy Wu, Pasadena Council Member Tyron Hampton, Arcadia Council Member Eileen Wang, Vice President of PUSD Board Jennifer Hall Lee, Mt. San Antonio College President Martha Garcia, and others, are expected to join the celebration. It promises to be a wonderful event.

Under the theme of “Full Moon, Full Hearts: Celebrating Togetherness and Happiness,” the event features a cultural feast combining qigong, martial arts, dance, and music, bringing guests an abundance of joy and positive energy. In celebration of the Year of the Dragon, Tai Ji Men will present its Celestial Dragon to bless the Earth. The event will also showcase other exciting cultural performances, including a powerful drum performance, a joyous Lion Dance, and a beautiful Lantern Dance.

In honor of the International Love and Peace Month, Tai Ji Men will also share its recent efforts in promoting conscience, love, and peace. Since May of this year, Dr. Hong, Tao-Tze, the leader of Tai Ji Men, has led his dizi (apprentices) to visit Central Asia, Greece, Italy, and the Vatican, where Dr. Hong met with Pope Francis.

Linda Freedman, Mayor of the City of Walnut, where Tai Ji Men has established another qigong academy, sent a video message conveying her best wishes: “We are blessed to have a Tai Ji Men Academy here in our own city. But I do want to congratulate Dr. Hong and the academy on their one-year anniversary for Tai Ji Men Academy in Pasadena. I was able to attend the opening, and it was fantastic. The message of spreading love, peace, and conscience throughout the world cannot be more important than it is today. So congratulations, and keep doing the good work!”

Tai Ji Men’s positive impact on individuals’ lives is evident in the experiences of many members. William Stevenson, 87, a former songwriter and record producer for the Motown group of labels, joined the academy last year and experienced a miraculous recovery from a stroke. He shared that part of his sight was gone due to the stroke and that if it wasn’t for some of the exercises he learned at Tai Ji Men, he wouldn’t have had such a miraculous recovery. Tai Ji Men Qigong is amazing, he exclaimed.

Dao Lu, another Tai Ji Men member and a well-known Vietnamese watercolor artist, experienced a significant improvement in his kidney function—from 38% to 55%—within two months of practicing Tai Ji Men Qigong. Lu attributes this extraordinary recovery to the benefits of Tai Ji Men Qigong, noting that kidney damage is typically irreversible.

Tai Ji Men is an international non-profit cultural and peace organization committed to enhancing physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. Since 2000, under the exceptional leadership of Dr. Hong, Tao-Tze, Tai Ji Men has established four chapters in California. Currently, the Tai Ji Men Qigong Academy boasts 21 chapters worldwide, welcoming members of all races and backgrounds. Tens of thousands of families have joined the Tai Ji Men family, experiencing profound transformations through the practice of qigong, becoming healthier, wiser, and more energetic.

Dr. Hong has led Tai Ji Men and the Federation of World Peace and Love to 109 nations, promoting a culture of peace with love and conscience. His efforts were instrumental in the United Nations’ designation of April 5 as the International Day of Conscience in 2019, and in March 2023, he was honored with the U.S. President’s Lifetime Achievement Award, recognizing the 1.2 million hours of service dedicated by Dr. Hong and members of the Federation of World Peace and Love.

All are welcome to join this memorable celebration of love, peace, and cultural heritage while working together to build a more harmonious and inclusive world.
